His Heart Ministry Training was founded in 2009 by Vicky Legge with an initial focus on singles ministry. Vicky has served as a singles ministry leader in her local church. She has a passion to see single parents being their best and people at the end of a relationship experiencing healing, hope and purpose; to see single adults connected in healthy relationships with others and with God.
Vicky has a working history in health (prosthetics and orthotics, nursing, community health) and health education. Her health education role grew from providing telephone information and group education, through learning and coordinating a self-management project, to writing courses and facilitating people to live well with chronic health conditions. She has been a high school chaplain, refreshed her nursing training and overseen the Life Care Centre at her local church in a voluntary capacity. She currently works as a trainer in Health and Care Ministry including teaching Certificate IV in Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care. The threads of her passion for health have woven into the workshops provided by His Heart Ministry Training to reflect a growing focus on health and wellbeing.
As well as qualifications in Prosthetics and Orthotics, and Nursing, Vicky has a Graduate Certificate in Nursing in Community Health and Development, Certificate in Asthma Education, and Certificate IV’s in Workplace Training and Assessment, Ministry and Theology, Pastoral Care, and Youth Work. She recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Chronic Condition Management and is an Accredited Trainer in the The Flinders Program TM.
Her first book ‘New Life in the Mourning – Hope when the relationship ends’ was published in 2010.
His Heart Ministry Training is one of 3 websites (currently) that host Vicky’s passion to provide hope and healing in many areas of life that stem from her lived experience of divorce, single parenting and living with a chronic illness (launching mid 2017) and her passion to equip ministry workers to promote abundant life and hope in others, practising self-care to last the distance. There are many cross links between the websites.
