His Heart Ministry Training provides resources and training to equip communities and individuals to promote healing, hope and purpose (abundant life) in the lives of others.
Founded in 2009 by Vicky Legge, it began with a focus on equipping and resourcing churches and community organisations to better support single parents and those experiencing the end of a relationship. The focus has now broadened to promoting wellbeing in all areas of life (loving others) and to motivate and equip ministry workers/carers with self-care strategies for sustaining the supporting role (loving yourself).
All workshops and resources are available with Christian content for use in Christian churches and communities with people with a Christian faith. They have a Biblical underpinning to the material, explore how to outwork God’s compassion to care for others, and promote the faith life of participants.
Some workshops and resources are available without any Christian content for use in secular community settings. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
With the advent of on-line platforms for training, we are gradually adapting many of our workshops and courses to this medium through His Heart Ministry Training on-line school Some have a closed Facebook community to engage with other students. Some of the courses are available in a bundle to reduce the price. Current available courses:

Why the name ‘His Heart Ministry Training?
The name His Heart Ministry Training reflects God’s concern, compassion and care for people especially those having a tough time and his desire to see people’s lives healed, whole and hopefilled.
At the start of his ministry Jesus announced his job description as:
God’s Spirit is on me;
he’s chosen me to preach the Message of good news to the poor,
Sent me to announce pardon to prisoners and
recovery of sight to the blind,
To set the burdened and battered free,
to announce, “This is God’s year to act!” Luke 4: 18-19 The Message
His Heart Ministry Training exists to equip organisations and people in the promotion of hope, healing and wholeness. For churches to be equipped to show God’s love in both word and deed, and so journey alongside others in the messiness of life.

His Heart Ministry Training uses both a fountain and a tree as symbols. The image of the tree and the fountain speak of abundance.
Sometimes you may feel like a desert wasteland. Your life is dry, lifeless, and nothing appears to grow, let alone thrive and bear fruit! The blackness of despair obscures your hope and you go through the motions in life. This is not what God says about what he will do in you and through you. He promises abundant life, lushness, full of fruit!
For I am about to do something new.
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. Isiah 43:19 New Living Translation
The tree represents abundant life. Living a life filled with hope, wellbeing and purpose. The green leaves are heart shaped symbolising love; you are connected through relationships. Trees sustain life in others as birds and animals make homes in them, and feed on flowers and the fruit they produce. For a tree to grow strong and healthy it needs deep roots. These help it to withstand storms without being blown over and to drink of water deep in the soil for nourishment to survive droughts.
The Bible contains references to trees as the image of abundant life
But blessed are those who trust in the Lord
and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.
They are like trees planted along a riverbank,
with roots that reach deep into the water.
Such trees are not bothered by the heat
or worried by long months of drought.
Their leaves stay green,
and they never stop producing fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8 New Living Translation (NLT)
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers Psalm 1:3 New International Version (NIV)
In the Bible Jesus when talking to a women who had come to draw water at a well says, “ but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” John 4:14
About the founder
His Heart Ministry Training was founded in 2009 by Vicky Legge with an initial focus on singles ministry. Vicky has served as a singles ministry leader in her local church. She has a passion to see single parents being their best and people at the end of a relationship experiencing healing, hope and purpose; to see single adults connected in healthy relationships with others and with God.

Hope. Health. Equip. For a flourishing life. My desire is to provide hope and healing to others in areas of life that stem from my lived experience of divorce, single parenting and living with a chronic illness (coming soon). I have a passion to equip ministry workers, to promote abundant life and hope in others, practising self-care to last the distance. I write and teach in both workshops and courses on these subjects. I also write and speak to encourage others in their faith journey as Christ followers. I have separate websites that focus on specific areas of my ministry and passion, all of which link through the umbrella of Vicky Legge Facebook page. Hope. Health. Equip. For a flourishing life
